TPN – A man was shot on the Eisenhower Expressway near Paulina Street on Chicago’s Near West Side and found dead in his automobile on Thursday morning.
Just before 3:30 a.m., the Illinois State Police (ISP) reported that gunshots had affected at least one vehicle in the westbound lanes. Sadly, the victim—a 25-year-old man—passed away upon his transfer to a nearby hospital, said ISP.
The Paulina Street ramp has been closed as a result of the incident, which is causing traffic congestion. Over 25 gun casings were found at the inquiry site, highlighting the tragic impact and the seriousness of the incident.
The front windshield had three gunshot holes, and the driver’s side door had three more. Shots broke through the passenger window of the victim’s automobile during the intense altercation. Authorities are looking into the circumstances surrounding this horrific tragedy very thoroughly.
