Texas man shoots four other relatives and then kills himself, along with his 8-year-old niece!

Alrick “Shawn” Barrett, 46, carried out a deadly shooting in a suburban Houston neighborhood that left four family members—including his 8-year-old niece—deadlyly wounded before taking his own life. Eric Fagan, the Fort Bend County Sheriff, described the terrifying incidents that took place early on a Saturday morning. Barrett contacted his estranged wife with a desire to reconcile after picking up his little child from a visit. Barrett started the shooting spree after she refused.

Barrett’s 44-year-old estranged wife, her 43-year-old brother, and her 46-year-old sister were among the victims. Although there in the house, Barrett’s estranged wife’s mother was uninjured.

Sheriff Fagan revealed that the same property had previously been the scene of an authorities’ disturbance report involving a verbal altercation between Barrett and his estranged wife.
