On Thursday, police shared photographs of a man and a woman they say brutally entered a home on Staten Island earlier this week, attacked a mother, and stabbed her in the leg.
On Monday at approximately 2:34 p.m., two masked men pried open the front door of a house in Stapleton Heights near the intersection of Hygeia Place and Boyd Street, according to the police.
The suspects began punching the victim, a 23-year-old mother, as soon as they entered the residence. The victim was inside with her son.
According to the police report, one of the suspects proceeded to stab the victim in the leg before stealing her cash, phone, social security card, wallet, and EBT card.
The robbers subsequently fled on foot from the location.
Richmond University Medical Center was notified, and the victim is currently in stable condition.
Both individuals are currently under police surveillance.
A black ski mask, gray sweatpants, and a black hooded sweatshirt were the last things anyone saw the male suspect wearing.
When last seen, the female suspect wore all black, including her sweater, sweatpants, and footwear.
