One firefighter is injured as a fire in Valley Stream sweeps through seven stores. In Valley Stream, a row of stores caught fire, injuring at least one fireman.
Around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, at least seven shops caught fire.
Firefighters were sent to Rockaway Avenue to combat the intense flames.
The endeavor was upgraded to a fifth alarm by the Valley Stream Fire Department.
About 21 fire departments with 150 firefighters fighting the fire, according to the fire chief, were involved.
