Four of the fifteen places in the country with the fastest growth are in Arizona. A new study from FinanceBuzz ranks Gilbert, Chandler, Glendale, and Mesa as the top four fastest-growing cities in Arizona.
A city’s growth can be measured in a number of ways, such as its population growth, job rate, housing value growth, percentage of empty homes, new businesses, and the percentage of people who owe money that needs to be collected.
There are things besides the cost of living that affect people’s decisions to move to another city and, by extension, the growth of that city. People’s views on work have changed since the COVID-19 era. Massive migrations and the rise in popularity of working from home are both signs that workers want a better standard of living generally.
Regional job markets, good schools, safety, better quality of life, social networks, climate, and government stability are some of the things that make a city grow. People also want to move to places that have easy access to healthcare, a variety of cultures, cutting-edge technology, and well-developed transportation systems.
Gilbert is the second fastest-growing city in the U.S. it is the second fastest-growing city in the country. Gilbert stands out because it has an incredibly low rate of vacant homes (2.9%), and house values have gone up 77% since 2019.

Chandler is right behind Gilbert and earned its third-place spot for the same reasons. Chandler has a low vacancy rate and has seen its jobless rate drop by 0.6% over the last three years. In 2022, a lot of new businesses opened in Chandler.
Glendale is the fifth-fastest-growing city in the United States, and the average home value has gone up the most in the country. Glendale’s fast growth shows how popular the greater Phoenix area is becoming. Home prices have gone up 82% faster than in similar places, and the unemployment rate is low.
The home values in Mesa have gone up by 70.9%, and there are now 16,257 new businesses for every 100,000 people. This makes it the 13th fastest-growing city in the U.S. There are many things that make a city appealing to new companies, such as tax breaks, a dense population, a ready workforce, a well-educated population, and, most importantly, good infrastructure.
With all of these things, from places to live to do business, plus the state’s natural beauty and fun things to do outside, Arizona has a lot to offer. If you want to find your forever home, the Valley is the clear choice.
