Middle school student injured after hit by car in Lebanon, NH

In a tragic incident on Friday morning, a middle school student was struck by a car while attempting to board a school bus. The student sustained injuries as a result of the accident.

In a recent incident, the Lebanon Police Department was alerted to a report shortly before 7 a.m. A student was attempting to cross the road at the intersection of Waterman Avenue and South Main Street in order to board the school bus. Unfortunately, it appears that the driver involved failed to acknowledge the flashing lights on the school bus.

According to the authorities, a student was struck by a driver who, they say, did not stop. The driver in question has been described as an older female.

A student was found to be conscious and alert upon the arrival of emergency services. They were subsequently transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment. According to the police, the individuals are reported to be in stable condition.

An ongoing investigation is being conducted to determine the potential charges that may be filed.
