A person who is suspected of committing a violent rape and assault against a woman in New York City has been taken into custody and is facing multiple criminal charges.

The person who attacked had a white towel covering their face. They took out a belt and placed it around the woman’s neck.
The police report states that the man sexually assaulted the woman by forcefully bringing her to the ground and holding her there until she lost consciousness.
