As temperatures drop to more typical levels for this time of year, Storm Team 4 is monitoring the possibility of some snowfall early next week, though it looks like it may still be too warm for significant accumulation.
The next storm approaches swiftly after a few gloomy days. By late Saturday, showers are predicted, and on Sunday, there will likely be more rain and strong winds. Sunday night may see some snowfall when cold air enters the system from the back.
While there appears to be little accumulation close to New York City, areas to the north and west of I-287 may experience more than three inches.
What level of snowfall is expected?
This month, Central Park in New York City saw its first one-inch snowfall in almost two years. Is there anything more that this next weekend might hint at? Right now, it appears certain that it will feel more like January.
Monday sees a return to the 30s in temperature, where they are predicted to remain until at least the middle of the following week.
