Family of New York City Man Found Dismembered in Fridge Says He Was ‘Not a Drug Dealer’

After Gelzer’s severed corpse was taken out of her freezer, 45-year-old Heather Stines was charged.

After the New York Police Department connected the murder to a drug dispute, the relatives of a guy who was found dismembered in a Brooklyn apartment stated that their relative was “not a drug dealer.”

The brother of Kawsheen Gelzer told the New York Daily News, “He was a very good person.” “He wasn’t a nasty guy or a drug dealer. His family was always there for him and loved him unconditionally.

Last week, Gelzer, 40, was discovered dead in the Flatbush district of Brooklyn. The 45-year-old Heather Stines was accused of hiding a human corpse after Gelzer’s severed body was taken out of her freezer.

It is said that during the police search of Stines’ residence, she became aggressive. She further claimed that Gelzer was slain by her husband, who is incarcerated in Virginia at the moment. According to WNBC, the victim’s death was declared a homicide, and authorities suspect it was related to drugs.

Gelzer was allegedly a well-known drug dealer and may have had a falling out with Stines and her husband, Nicholas McGee, according to the police.

The victim was a registered sex offender with a criminal record as well. In 2004, he was found guilty of sexually abusing a 12-year-old, despite his brother’s denial of the allegations.

The New York Daily News was informed by him that he was not a child abuser or anything similar. “Those are all untrue claims that surfaced years ago. They are bringing up something that isn’t even factual that happened years ago.

The brother of the victim stated that Gelzer “wanted to live his own life” and that he had not seen his sibling in several years.

“He could reach out and be there for his family, but he didn’t want that. We were aware of his disappearance. We published a report and all of that,” he said to the New York Daily News.

“My brother has now moved to a better location. That is the most crucial factor.
