Police searching for missing Kansas teen in Austin area

A missing woman from Kansas is currently being sought by the Austin Police Department’s Human Trafficking unit, as they suspect she may be in the Austin area.

Authorities are requesting assistance from the public in locating Hannah Smith, a 16-year-old individual with high-functioning autism who has gone missing from the Wichita, Kansas region and is considered endangered. A woman disappeared in Kansas on January 14th.

Authorities have reported that Smith could potentially be traveling with an adult male companion in the Austin region. The individual in question is said to be operating a blue 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, bearing the Texas license plate number MKV4875. According to police, the car is said to have expired tags.

Smith is reported to be 5’7″ tall, weighing 140 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. According to officials from the APD, the individual was last spotted donning a blue jacket, black leggings, a black hat, and a black backpack.
