Linda led me into her living room without saying another word. On the coffee table sat several long chestnut ponytails sealed carefully inside clear plastic bags. I recognized them instantly. They were Emily\u2019s. My anger exploded again, but Linda stopped me before I could speak. \u201cShe made me promise not to tell you until she was ready,\u201d she whispered.
