So there I amāarms full of groceries, wine bottle barely hanging on, excited to celebrate this new chapter with my girlfriend. But the celebration never happens.
As I step inside, I immediately freeze.
Every. Single. One. Of her ex-boyfriendsā photosāframed, printed, even one canvas-sizedāare already hanging on MY apartment walls.
And I donāt mean in a drawer or an album. I mean full-blown gallery-style display. Smiling selfies, beach trips, prom picturesā¦ even one where sheās kissing a guy on the cheek!
I ask her, calmly but stunned, what all this is.
She says, āTheyāre part of my past and I like remembering the memories.ā
So I told her, āThatās beautiful. You can remember them back at your old place,ā and asked her to move out immediately.
