A tiny baby has captured hearts after being born at only 24 weeks of pregnancy, arriving far earlier than anyone had expected. At birth, the little boy was so small that much of his body could fit comfortably into an adult’s hand, immediately showing just how delicate the battle ahead would be.

The newborn weighed only about 500 grams (1.1 pounds). His arms and legs were incredibly tiny, his skin was fragile, and his lungs had not yet developed enough for him to breathe completely on his own. Doctors immediately transferred him to the neonatal intensive care unit, where specialized equipment helped regulate his breathing, temperature, and nutrition.

For the first several weeks, even the smallest improvement was considered an important victory.
