A badly damaged red SUV was discovered abandoned on a remote gravel road early in the morning, its doors and side panels covered with hundreds of bullet holes. Investigators immediately closed off the surrounding area after realizing the vehicle appeared to have been caught in an extraordinarily intense burst of gunfire.
