A young woman was hospitalized after being accidentally injured during what had begun as an ordinary afternoon at home with her enormous Great Dane. She had been relaxing on the couch when the excited dog suddenly jumped toward her, knocking her backward and causing one of its paws to strike her abdomen with surprising force.

At first, she believed she had simply been bruised. The dog immediately settled beside her, and she tried to laugh off the incident. Within an hour, however, the discomfort became considerably stronger, and she began feeling dizzy whenever she attempted to stand.

A family member eventually insisted on taking her to the hospital. Doctors discovered that the impact had caused a significant internal injury that required immediate treatment. Fortunately, she had arrived before the situation became more serious, and doctors were able to stabilize her without any lasting complications.

She remained under observation before eventually being allowed to return home. Her Great Dane hadn’t intentionally harmed her, and she refused to blame the animal for what happened. Instead, she acknowledged that extremely large dogs can accidentally cause injuries simply because of their size, weight, and enthusiasm.

She ultimately made a complete recovery and returned to her normal routine, although she became much more careful about allowing her dog to jump onto furniture while she was sitting down. What looked like a funny moment at first had unexpectedly ended in a hospital visit—and taught her never to underestimate the strength of a giant, excited pet.
