It started with what seemed like an ordinary intimate encounter. Several days later, however, the man noticed small irritated areas on his lower legs. He initially dismissed them as insect bites and continued with his normal routine, assuming they would disappear without treatment.
Instead, the spots became increasingly painful and began developing into open sores. His legs grew red and swollen, while several areas darkened dramatically. When fever and severe discomfort appeared, he finally went to a hospital, where doctors immediately realized the problem required urgent attention.
Tests revealed that he had developed a serious bacterial skin infection that had spread through damaged areas of skin. Doctors explained that close physical contact can sometimes expose people to bacteria, but they could not determine from appearance alone exactly when or where the infection began.
He required medical treatment to control the infection and careful wound care while the damaged skin healed. Doctors emphasized that untreated skin infections can sometimes spread into deeper tissues or the bloodstream, making symptoms such as rapidly expanding redness, severe swelling, fever, worsening pain, or blackened skin reasons to seek urgent medical attention.
The frightening condition therefore wasn’t simply proof that someone had “slept with the wrong person.” It was the consequence of a severe infection that progressed without early treatment, showing why unexplained sores and rapidly worsening skin changes should never be ignored.
