When my son left his wife, Tina, I was furious. He cheated, filed for divorce, and walked out on her and their newborn baby. I told him straight to his face, “You’re throwing away a good woman and a beautiful family.”
He shrugged and said, “Well, she’s great… but I deserve someone better.” Those words cut deeper than he could ever imagine.
Months later, he remarried. I didn’t even want to go to the wedding, but as his mother, I went — silently praying he’d realize what he’d done.
