Crispy Ham & Cheese Egg Rolls — The Ultimate Game Night Snack

These golden, crunchy egg rolls are dangerously addictive — every bite melts with gooey cheese and savory ham wrapped in a perfectly crispy shell. Here’s how to make them at home just like Dad did!

Ingredients

  • 10–12 egg roll wrappers
  • 12 slices of deli ham (or any cooked ham, thinly sliced)
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese
  • 1 egg (for sealing the wrappers)
  • Oil for frying

Optional Dip:

  • ¼ cup honey mustard or sweet chili sauce

Instructions

  1. Assemble the rolls
Lay one egg roll wrapper on a clean surface. Place a slice of ham in the center, top it with a small handful of shredded cheese, and roll it up tightly like a burrito — fold in the sides first to seal. Brush the edges lightly with beaten egg to keep it closed.
  2. Fry to perfection
Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the rolls in small batches for about 2–3 minutes per side, until golden and crispy.
  3. Drain and serve
Place on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil. Sprinkle with a pinch of parsley or Parmesan if you like.
  4. Dip and enjoy!
Serve warm with honey mustard, ranch, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Tip: These reheat perfectly in an air fryer — just pop them in for 3 minutes at 375°F to get that crisp back.

They’re quick, crunchy, and guaranteed to disappear before halftime!
